Battery for Casio Camera I needed a replacement for my Casio Camera Battery and could not find a local source. Amazon was amazing in the manner and timeliness of which I received a new battery. It plugged in and WORKED! Thanks.
Disappointing and Expensive.... since you have to keep buying them. I got my camera in October of 2008. Less than a year later (prior to June 2009... I would say closer to March), the battery discontinued to work. My camera refused to turn on, despite the battery having been recently charged, and when I put the battery in the charger, the red light flashed on and off rather than charging. Basically, what happened to me is what seems to have happened to many other people rating this item. However, many people are saying it's annoying, but an easy fix. Well, perhaps. But I don't know how to "jump start" the battery and, while I'm sure that's effective and helps a lot of people, if you don't know how to do it, you're still stuck with a dead battery. I bought my second battery in June of 2009 (around mid June) for 50 dollars. I know, I know, but I was desperate and needed it immediately; I couldn't wait to have it shipped as I was leaving on a trip. So, here I am less than a year later, with another dead NP-20 battery. I am tired of buying these things only to have them fail less than a year later. It would be one thing if I just ended up with a bad one and the next one I buy will be fine. That happens, what can you do. But it sounds like these batteries are largely of poor quality and need to be replaced or jump started on a regular basis. I'd rather just get a different camera and not have to worry about whether this is the time I'll turn my camera on only to find out the battery died and miss another great photo opportunity just because some company is alright with selling people products of low quality. I actually really like the camera. I had the same one, but an earlier model, two years before I got the one I have now. That was an absolutely fantastic camera and I was heartbroken when it broke (most likely my fault... now I always keep it in it's case when I'm not using it). It's not the camera that I have a problem with, but the disappointing and unpredictable battery. So I think I'll just get a new camera this time and it will not be a Casio.
Bad Battery I received this camera as a gift from my niece. The battery went dead and will not charge. The charger blinks on and off indicating this. Apparently, there is a "flaw" in the battery. My niece owns the same camera, called the company and was sent a new battery - no charge. Her friend also had the same issue with her battery. I am now having the same problem. Casio, do you THINK MAYBE there is a problem with these batteries??? I emailed Casio tonite and will keep emailing them until I receive an answer. I am looking at getting a free replacement, otherwise, I am switching to another company. Lots of choices out there.
Item Recieved not as pictured Unfortunately, I cannot rate the performance of this item, the Casio NP-20 Lithium Ion rechargeble battery, because that is not what I got. I specifically paid more to get the name brand and was sent a generic battery. I will give the vendor points for responding quickly when I complained and refunding my money. They did not even require me to return the item. So what does that say for its value. However, weeks later, I still do not have a dependable name brand product. So I will start again, but not with this vendor.

Casio NP-20 is not OEM The picture that represented this product is incorrect! I paid more than I should have because I thought I was getting an original equipment battery. What I received was a generic battery that I could have purchased for half the price. BUYER BEWARE!
