Originally designed for dentists and medical use, the HD10X is now available to the public. Unlike current single element lenses, the HD10X has 4 elements of high definition optical glass that provides unbelievable detail.
Cameras fitted with normal lenses do not permit us to move closer than a certain minimum distance from the object being photographed. The Close-Up lens, which is simply mounted in the front of our normal taking lens, permits the taking of close-ups and also makes possible the photography of details which would be quite impossible without using the Close-Up lens.

The Closer The Better
If you ever wanted to see the bark of a tree, the wings on a fly, or the veins in a leaf... this is the lens for you! It is amazing!!! Take those close-up pictures you've always wanted to take. This is one of my favorite lenses. This lens took my photography to a new level.
Great product
This lens works perfectly with my Kodak Z612 and my Kodak Z712- I didn't notice any problems with the auto focus or flash. I used it with both cameras and the pictures were great, I agree with the other post that said that you do have to experiment with it a little to get use to it, and you do have to zoom past the tunnel that the adapter ring creates, but this lens is worth every penny.You must have do the conversion lens adapater and the adapter ring. But both came included in my order, so gtreat product.
 Z812 with Opteka Macro HD 10x lens
A good, inexpensive solution for getting macro shots. The tunnel vision is a bit annoying but is eliminated by zooming in a bit. As with most macro photography my best shots were by setting the camera down and using the timer.

Great lens. Takes a bit to get used to how to focus but then you can shoot wonderful pictures with is.
Help for creative close ups
If you're interested in expanding your macro capabilities (I'm using a Kodak Z812 is), this inexpensive, screw on, addition is a marvel (if your deal doesn't include it, you'll need a 58mm adapter)of accuracy and clarity. Yes, there's a tunnel which, if you don't want circular photos (though there is interest there, and an expanded depth of field - how much is in focus), you can zoom beyond. This lens is designed for auto-focus, and it works just fine, though you might find it best to lock in focus at different places to be sure of capturing the details you want. Stunning photos are the result.
