Since it fits right over your camera's existing lens system, a wide-angle and telephoto converter affects the full zoom range of your camera's lens. A wide-angle converter increases your angle of view - scenes include more of the landscape, groups include more people, and interiors show more of the room. A .45x wide-angle converter DOUBLES your angle of view, allowing you to get twice as much in the picture (AND your telephoto setting also becomes wider; not zooming in as close). A 2.2x converter will double your camera's maximum focal length, bringing things twice as close. An Opteka conversion lens can actually improve the image that your digital camera receives, and it's about the only accessory that can. By eliminating flare and ghosting, the ugly cousins of reflection and refraction, before they get to your camera's original lens system, your camera gets a much cleaner image to digitize. Plus, an Opteka converter allows you to use a more optimal part of your original lens system, resulting in more crisp imagery.
Enjoy all of the benefits of the Opteka HD² .45x Wide Angle & 2.2x Telephoto Professional Lenses, plus you get the Following Brand New Items: Opteka High Definition² Pro Filter Kit (UV, Polarizing, and fluorescent), Opteka Tabletop Tripod, 5 Piece Camera & Lens Cleaning Kit, 53" Deluxe Professional Video/Camera Tripod, and a Samsonite Deluxe Carry-All Camera Case. Increase your cameras capabilities with this full accessory kit! Opteka lenses and filters are covered by a lifetime warranty.

Awsome Deal!!! This package is a real deal and it includes items that are an absolute necessity for someone who is trying to get professional results from their camera!
Great value and then some I ordered this item from 47th St Photo through Amazon (it's not listed on their own web site). I spoke to the sales representative to ask about the specifics of the bag included in this accessory kit. He wasn't rude but he wasn't really offering more information to help me decide my purchase. 47th St Photo please take note, we are looking for more than just Yes and No. To their credit, delivery to my doorstep (NJ) took one day and was way ahead of expectations.
So I took a risk in ordering this and it paid off by saving me lots. The items cost much more when bought individually. This is what is included in my package:
- Opteka UV, PL, FLD Filter kit
- Opteka .45x Wide Angle/Macro lens
- Opteka 2.2x Telephoto lens
- Samsonite Deluxe Case, which if purchased individually are the following:
- LCD Cleaning Kit
- Samsonite 708BK Photo/Video Bag
- Samsonite 1100 Tripod, black
- Universal Screen Protector
Now the reason why this is a great value for me. I was able to fit everything except the full-size tripod in the camera bag, with room to spare for the camera cables and 8 spare AA batteries! This is even after attaching the filter and wide-angle lens to my S6000fd. You can imagine how convenient this is.
The tripod is a basic aluminum construction, with plastic adjustment parts, but has a quick-release plate (which I always keep attached to the digicam), and is lighter to carry than the S6000fd, so despite having no frills it serves me well.
I was worried that the filters and lenses would not properly fit the S6000fd's thread, but that quickly vanished after trying them all out. The only negative comment is that I saw silver powder residue after the first removal, but it can be cleaned off.
There are other reviews in Amazon for these lenses that are less than glowing, but I think it is because the products were not well understood. The Opteka wide angle conversion lens leaves corner shadows when the camera is zoomed out to its widest at 28mm, but they disappear at 35mm and higher. The telephoto lens is meant to be used at 300mm. After having used both lenses, even with chromatic aberration, corner softness and distortion very evident, I am still satisfied with the image quality and added versatility it affords me. The cleaning kit has already come in handy when my fingerprints get on the lenses.
The LCD screen protector is a delightful bonus and it will certainly help prevent scratches and maintain the condition of my camera. (Update July 24, 2007): I've tried using the screen protector, but it's difficult to get the bubbles out, so I opted not to continue using it. The S6000fd's LCD comes with an anti-glare and scratch resistant glass anyway.
