Don't expect to zoom FULLY out with this one
That's right. I own a Kodak z612 and got this adapter to accommodate a set of even worse filters (see review on filters).
When I use this adapter, and want a good wide shot of something (landscape, etc) I discovered that they didn't make this adapter wide enough to allow for a complete wide view option on my lens.
That's a nightmare for me as I take literally thousands of landscape photos.
When I adjust my camera to go full wide view, I get a grayish black circle around the image cutting off the edges of the picture.
TERRIBLE.

Diseñado originalmente para la kodak z612,este adaptador sirve perfectamente para la z712 y la z812 (que es la que me regalaron).
se atornilla en la base de la camara y es una mejor opcion que los adaptadores de 55 mm ya que solo con un minimo de zoom se deja de observar el borde del adaptador en la toma,situacion que con el adaptador de 55 mm requiere de mayor zoom sin necesidad. El material es liviano pero aporta robustez y proteccion al objetivo de la camara.
combinado con un juego de filtros 58 mm o con un filtro uv es el implemtendo ideal para lograr mejores tomas y proporcionar seguridad para el lente de la camara.

Bad design
With this adapter installed, and a 58mm UV filter on it, the default wide-angle view that appears when the camera is powered on has severe vignetting (corners are blackened). You have to zoom in some to get rid of the vignetting, and of course then you can't take a wide angle shot. This adapter was clearly NOT engineered for the Z612, and it's deception to say that it was. Buy the real one from Kodak. That's what I'm going to have to do.
It is what it is
A great way to expand the versatility of your Z612. I use this with my macro lens and I love it. I'm going to have to try some other specialty lenses now.
