Editorial Reviews:

Simply set the 10.1-megapixel DMC-FS20 to iA mode and let the four intelligent auto functions team up to help prevent shooting errors. Intelligent scene selector chooses the mode that best fits the situation; MEGA Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) helps prevent blurring from hand-shake; intelligent ISO control helps prevent motion blur; and face detection helps produce clear portraits by optimizing the focus and exposure settings. The 30 mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens with 4x optical zoom takes wider shots than an ordinary 35 mm lens. This is helpful in small rooms or crowded places, for example, letting you fit more people into a group photo. There's also an easy zoom button on the camera top - just press it, and the optical zoom and extra optical zoom instantly extend to full telescopic position. This quick zooming lets you catch even fleeting opportunities. With its two basic settings - shoot and play - the FS20 is easy enough for anybody to use. Canon has also minimized the number of fine settings that need to be made with the cursor button and easy-to-understand settings menu. The brightness and contrast of the large 3.0" diagonal LCD adjust automatically in 10 steps as ambient light conditions change, so images are clear, bright and easy to see day or night, indoors or outdoors. In hi-speed burst mode, you can snap off a lightning-fast six shots per second. This makes it easier to catch the perfect action shot of a fast-moving subject.

Great camera. I have not had time to explore all of its features, but it takes great pictures in auto mode.

Great camera for a realtor. I need to take photos of rooms in homes and the wide angle lens is great. Everything else about the camera is just like every other digital camera.

My second Lumix camera.
It is a great compact camera and lives up to the Panasonic standard.
I just love this camera.
After reading a lot of reviews I can not understand some of the petty criticisms.

I'm still getting to grips with the menus but it takes great photos. It's definitely bigger than the smallest Canons, so if you want a really compact camera, they might be better. Good looking camera.
