 Poor Low Light, Great Overall
The camera is great with well lit, outdoor scenes..
Indoor, Low light forces either a tripod or a flash for focused photos. The flash looks, as all flashes do, bad... which is unfortunate since most of the times i want to use the camera are indoor low light situations.
The video feature is amazing and def worth the buy. EXCEPT, there's a clicking noise, I believe its the camera focus or something, that really destroys any attempt at capturing good sound while taking video.
When it works its works great, but its not the best for everything.
Great camera, great value for the kit
I love this camera. I've been a fan of Nikon's for a few years now, and was not dissapointed by the s550. Small, ellegant, fast, takes great pictures and has 5x optical zoom!
The deluxe kit was a plus that I really loved! The extra battery and the memory card alone are worth the price! Tripod is cute and easy to carry around. Nikon case is way too big for the camera though, but it doesn't matter cause the tripod comes with another camera case that's just the right size. The only downside is that card is SDCH and the card reader is for SD cards only. In general I'm very pleased with the camera and the kit.
