The Hoya HD Hardened Glass 8-Layer Multi-Coated Digital Circular Polarizer (PL) Filter allows you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, and they also improve color saturation, clarity and contrast. This threaded filter is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds, for example. Hoya's polarizing filters do not affect the overall color balance of a shot, and they will provide protection for your lens while shooting.

Hoya Hardened Optical Glass has 4 times the breaking strength in ANSI standardized testing. Hardened 8-Layer Multi-Coating yields an average light transmission rate of 99.35% between 400 and 700nm (visible spectrum).
